Seagate Tour

Shakopee, MN

Seagate has agreed to organize a tour of their technical R&D facilities for current graduate students at UMN. The tour is currently being scheduled for late November, sign ups will be posted on this page and emailed to the CHEM/CEMS student listhosts once the details are confirmed.

Second Meeting

Amundson 287

We will be having a guest speaker to discuss research involving vacuum related technologies. Special emphasis will be placed on how to start a research career and how undergraduate and graduate students can get involved. Dinner will be served!

Cookie Decorating

Amundson 287

We will be continuing our yearly tradition of cookie decorating as a place to destress while preparing for final exams. Cookies along with a variety of icing decorations will be provided, and we will be screening a winter movie to set the mood. Come destress with AVS!

First Club Meeting

Our first meeting of the year is scheduled for Thursday, October 12th at 6:00 PM. Join us for a discussion about what the club does, our upcoming lecture series and outreach events, planned industry networking, and a screening of the cult classic Spaceballs (1987). Raising Cane's will be served.

Paint the bridge!

Washington Ave. Bridge

One of the best ways to advertise our club to fellow UMN students is by painting a panel on the Washington Avenue Bridge. Join us for a morning of artistic exploration when we paint some vacuums and an AVS logo to promote the group.
